Day 5 in Berlin was definitely a favorite of mine! I went on a bike tour of Berlin with Fat Tire Bike Tours, which was a blast...plus the weather was a significant improvement from the crazy amounts of rain I had dealt with for the past two days. The bike tour didn't start until 11, so i had a nice leisurely morning consisting of journaling, coffee and bread with nutella! :) Yum. The bike tour went all over Berlin and I got to see a ton of the city!! We stopped for lunch in a biergarten and I enjoyed a tasty local hefeweizen and some DELICIOUS pretzel dumplings with spinach and a mushroom sauce. I could seriously write a whole post about my meal. It was awesome and super filling. But I would hate to bore you. Or make you jealous. :)
One great thing about the bike tour was meeting people. I actually met two other people my age, one from Australia and one from California, who were both traveling alone. I have gone this whole time without meeting anyone who is in a similar position; alone in a foreign country. It was nice to know I'm not crazy for doing this...or even if I am, there are other crazy people like me!
Here's my bike tour:
